Default U.D.O. - Steelhammer Live from Moscow

from the Facebooks
https://www.facebook.com/udoonline?rf=103110489729567

From the AFM Records page:
Quote:
"Steelhammer - Live From Moscow" to be released on May, 23rd!

Russia has a special meaning for Udo Dirkschneider and his band U.D.O.. They were one of the very first international artists to tour the huge country of Russia - and their fans are still very thankful until this day. So recording a LIVE DVD to highlight the “Steelhammer” tour was an opportunity the band didn’t want to miss. It is the first LIVE release of U.D.O.’s new line-up (with Russian band member) which easily convinced fans and critics alike on recent festivals and headlining gigs. The band comes up with an exceptional setlist, incl. many classics that haven’t been played for a long time, fan favorites and tracks from the recent success album “Steelhammer”. U.D.O. once again prove why they are hailed as one of the best European live bands.

“Steelhammer - Live From Moscow” will be available as DVD/2-CD, Bluray/2-CD and triple-Vinyl in Russian national colors (tricolor).

I have mixed feelings on this.

While I am excited for a live release because I liked the Steelhammer album (wouldn't say I loved it) and I saw the tour in Cleveland before the album came out, the last U.D.O. blu-ray was terrible. AFM really didn't know what they were doing. The video is PAL, not 24P, so I can only play it in my cheap Insignia player that plays PAL. The audio was only Dolby Digital 2.0. The picture was alright, but nothing special. If I had known it was such a lackluster presentation, I might have saved myself $12 or so and stuck with the CD/DVD combo. (I'm someone who rarely actually says that.)

I have the dvd/cd combo of this one. The dvd isn't region free either. Good show and the new band is great. I wonder how many more of these Udo has in him? He's in his early 60's now.

I pre-ordered the blu-ray/CD combo and it still has no release date on Amazon.com. But the DVD/CD version has been out for weeks.

The blu-ray version doesn't even show up when you search for Steelhammer live. I had to go to my orders to find the page.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

When I pre-ordered, the price was $18.08. Now the price is $21.88.

What are the audio options on the DVD? Dolby 2.0 is my guess.

Yes, when amazon originally put the pre orders up, they were both listed a being released on June 10th, but then the blu changed to 'a release date has not been set', so I ended up getting the dvd set. I also have the Sofia set on dvd as well.
