Well out of today's 4th August new releases Zavvi have failed to ship to me, Arrow's Pioneer and Studio Canal's Swallows & Amazons. However Universal's Clint Eastwood boxset turned up today on time.

It does really seem to vary with Zavvi who the distributor is. They seem pretty okay getting out stock from the big Hollywood studios, its the smaller distributors they always have stock problems with like Arrow, BFI, Network etc

No sign of this in Sainsburys or Tesco, although Tesco had it on DVD.

I have a large Asda and a Tesco Extra where I live, so I check their respective 'Direct' websites to get an idea whether a disc will be available instore, as they seem to mirror the same stocking policies. The Double was only available to preorder on DVD on the websites, so I'm guessing there won't be much chance of finding a Blu instore at these two retailers

How strange , ive had no issues with pre-orders for over a year with Zavvi, now two in a row have failed to dispatch on or after release day. Cheap Thrills has since been cancelled and now The Double is unavailable on the site so i predict a cancellation email shortly. What is going on with zavvi?? Ive got raid 2 , divergent and calvary pre-ordered and are due out next, will i ever recieve these???? Not looking good lol

edit. it seems all those 3 have now been dispatched! shame about the double, £11.46 was a bargain

This is an update for the dispatch date of The Double on Blu Ray.

At the moment we have had a delay from our Supplier for stock of this item and I am very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. The stock for this item is expected on the 11/08/2014. Once this item is back in stock we shall dispatch it as soon as possible.
