I've gone for Moonrise Kingdom. The story is completely and utterly sweet, the humour is wonderfully wry, the cast is at the top of it's game and the host of characters are Anderson best creations.

While I really enjoyed Grand Budapest, the film never really caught the balance between whimsical and bitter, but it's still a really fun and funny romp!

I love The Fantastic Mr Fox, the Wes Anderson film for people who don't like Wes Anderson films. I also like Rushmore and I don't mind Moonrise Kingdom. I find all of his other films stifling and airless.

Moonrise Kingdom. It was the first time I actually set through a Wes Anderson film all the way (I saw segments of The Fantastic Mr. Fox) and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I thoroughly enjoy all of Wes Anderson's work. If I had to choose my favorite, I'd have to give the nod to Bottle Rocket. It might be a peculiar choice, and I don't believe it to be Anderson's finest film, but I find the film to be especially re-watchable and entertaining.

I've put a lot of thought into this, and my favorite really might be The Grand Budapest Hotel. Several of his films are instant classics, and I love virtually every film he's made, but I really think this one might take the cake for me.

Wes Anderson Says Next Film May Be Stop-Motion Movie Influenced By Vittorio De Sica

While Wes Anderson's hopes of a theme park were a bit of a surprise, don't worry too much that he's left the realm of cinema. The director is coming off the most successful film of his career in "The Grand Budapest Hotel," and now may be using that cachet to try something a bit ambitious for his next movie.

Speaking this weekend at the Lisbon And Estoril Film Festival (via c7nema), Anderson revealed during a Q&A that he may return to the world of stop-motion for his next picture. Even more, he said that the story would be divided into episodes, not unlike Vittorio De Sica's "The Gold Of Naples." That film presents six vignettes, with the only connecting thread that they're all tales set in Naples (you can see two un-embeddable excerpts here). So the prospect of Anderson borrowing that structure, but applying stop-animation to it is certainly interesting.

When we spoke to Anderson this past spring, he revealed he was co-writing an undisclosed project with his "The Darjeeling Limited' and “Moonrise Kingdom” collaborator Roman Coppola."... it's a little bit vaguely avant-garde in its concept and I'm just not sure if it's going to quite gel,” he said at the time.

“I'm trying to think of a good tease,” Anderson added. “I think the thing is well, it's a thing where maybe there’s ‘many things happening at once.’ That could be my tease.”

So, could this De Sica influenced project be the same one he was talking about earlier? Perhaps. But as Anderson showed with "Fantastic Mr. Fox," stop-animation allows him to expand his creative palette, so we'll be curious to see how this one shapes out.

I find it to be the fan favourite online, but most people I talk to prefer Rushmore or The Royal Tenenbaums.

They're all great, but if I had to order them:

1. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
2. Rushmore
3. Bottle Rocket
4. The Royal Tenenbaums
5. The Darjeeling Limited
6. The Grand Budapest Hotel
7. Fantastic Mr Fox
8. Moonrise Kingdom
