As others have stated, I hope this includes isolated score, also let's hope it includes a commentary, so the ending can be explained !
As to the person who mentioned that they saw the soundtrack in their library, I'm 99% certain that this was NEVER released as an OST, only certain tracks on a Ry Cooder cd.

I am confident that Shout Factory knows better than to use a cover like this. The poster art in the original post for the win.

I used to see Southern Comfort on cable channels all of the time during my middle school years. It's one of the most nail-bitingly intense action films of the 1980s, and it really needs a reintroduction to the masses.

Shame it's not a TT joint though, 'cos I'd happily take on a bunch of hillbillies in a Louisiana swamp to get an isolated score for this flick.

I was almost certain that Twilight Time would get this since they recently released Hard Times and The Driver and now have a deal with MGM. I'm stoked that Shout! is putting it out because there's a more than likely chance we'll see bonus material other than a theatrical trailer and an isolated score (I like this feature on TT titles, however its not a major selling point for me).

For those who haven't seen it, if you like tense thrillers with a gritty atmosphere, you'll enjoy Southern Comfort

Great News. Really good film, if you liked Deliverance you should like this as well.I remember sitting in the theater after the end credits just to hear the Ry Cooder soundtrack. Thanks for the heads up.

I have the Second Sight Blu-Ray, and am reasonably happy with it, but if this release adds more in terms of transfer quality or extras, I'll double dip. One of my favorite Walter Hill films!
