Default What to read after The Walking Dead?

I've gotten into a habit of reading one volume of TWD everyday for the last one month and now I've run out of material. Any other comic recommendations? (No superheroes)

I've heard 100 Bullets by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso is pretty damn good. Give it a whirl.

What genre do you like? Do you read manga? I can recommend some manga if you want?

Y: The Last Man if you're still in for a post-apocalyptic binge. One of the best books I've read in a while. It's about all the dudes on earth dying except for one guy and his monkey. It's really, really good.

For romance, try Saga. Same creator of Y: The Last Man and the art is great. Think of Romeo and Juliet + Star Wars.

Fables is pretty amazing as well. I just started reading volume 1 and it's great. It's basically every fairy tale character thrown into the real world. A lot of the Disney princesses and their related characters are in there too. Kinda like Once Upon a Time (the TV show). Not sure what genre it is just yet, but the first arc was a murder mystery. It's a really great read.

Some other comics worth checking out that I haven't had the chance to read yet are Sandman and Locke and Key. I've heard really good things about them.

If you're still in a zombie mood, I highly recommend Afterlife With Archie. I actually prefer it to The Walking Dead. The art is fantastic, and it moves at a great pace.

Many are saying "Saga" from Image Comics is the next Walking Dead. I have been collecting it since the start but will admit I have yet to find the time to read them.

I know you said "no superhero" but the ongoing Batman series by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo from DC Comics is amazingly well done. I believe the series is up to issue #35 or so, and they have collected hardcovers, artwork is outstanding and Snyder is a great writer.

Speaking of Scott Snyder, he just started a new Image Comics series called "Wytches" with art by Jock. It is ongoing monthly, issue #2 just came out.

Lastly there is a fairly new monthly ongoing series from Image Comics called "Outcast" written by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. I believe issue #5 is the latest, and the first issue is already up to it's fifth printing.
