Another type is the shorter slips which used to be quite common in the UK. And another are the musical ones- like the US release of 'Big' (Tom Hanks)?

I think the different terms that various studios call them should also be added. For instance Disney calls them an "O-Sleeve" and Fox often calls them an "O-Ring"

One example of a textured slipcover is the UK Road to Perdition slipcover.

If any of the top image has been marked or worn of you should be able to see the silver foil underneath.

Our UK Disney calls them O-Rings.

Here's the thread for metal slipcases: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=175216. The Gladiator one is really cool.

It does indeed have a nice special finish but it's not the same type of 'textured/light reflecting' finish I was referring to on all those other titles.

You might want to add Transparent to the list. Here's a perfect example of a transparent slipcover.

Do these have a certain name or exact size?

I think I may leave out peoples definitions of damages and grading of slips. Don't want to cause a war of what's MINT and what's not. Thanks for the post though.
