USA Enemy (Jake Gyllenhaal)

PRESS RELEASE:

AMAZON PRE-ORDER
http://www.amazon.com/Enemy-Jake-Gyl...keywords=enemy

Quote:
Academy Award® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Best Supporting Actor, Brokeback Mountain, 2005) reteams with his Prisoners director, Denis Villeneuve, in Enemy, a sexy and mind-bending thriller that breathes new life into the doppelganger tradition arriving on DVD (plus Digital UltraViolet) June 24 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Released theatrically by A24, the film is based on Nobel Prize in Literature winner Jose Saramongo's novel The Double, and also stars Mélanie Laurent (Now You See Me), Sarah Gadon (A Dangerous Method) and Isabella Rossellini (Fearless). Winner of the Grand Prize of European Fantasy Film in Silver at the Catalonian International Film Festival, the Enemy DVD includes a "making of" featurette and will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.98.

Adam Bell (Gyllenhaal) is a glum professor who has grown disinterested by his ordinary life. When Adam discovers a man who appears to be his double, the identical men meet and their lives become bizarrely and hauntingly intertwined. Gyllenhaal is transfixing playing both roles, journeying through a world both familiar and strange. The film's final and unnerving image will not be soon forgotten by audiences. In the end, only one man can survive.

This sucks. I wonder when the Canadian Blu-ray release is, because I'm residing in Canada until July 15th.

Default Blu-ray (USA) is on its way too...

Not sure if y'all have paid much attention to A24 (Enemy's distributor) on Twitter, but they have recently mentioned that a blu-ray for Enemy is in fact coming to the US market. No word yet if the blu-ray will have the same release date as the DVD, but I'm sure we'll know more soon. See picture below:

According to the updated Lionsgate press release the US Blu-ray will be released on the same day as the DVD.

Is there a Blu-ray thread for this someone can link me to? I am having trouble finding it (if there is one).

I never heard of this film until reading about it in the Under The Skin thread, and it caught my attention. It sounds great (don't know if it is executed as well as it sounds on paper), and I want to see it. Wondering if a blind buy is too risky?

Anyway, any Blu-ray thread?

A blind buy is a little risky, but honestly, it'll probably be getting more than one watch from you. It's a very good film. Also, I started a thread for the BD just now:
