Default Getting New TV!

Just bought a new house and would like your opinions on which tv to get for the guest bedroom.

I PERSONALLY WOULD LOVE TO GET REGZA, BUT THE BRAVIA WOULDN'T BE SO BAD EITHER AND I COULD GET A MATCHING BLU-RAY PLAYER. EITHER ONE OF THOSE OR A SAMSUNG DLP, WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

None of the above. Pioneer or Panasonic Plasma.

If you must go LCD, go with Sony or Samsung.

I have the Toshiba and love it. Haven't calibrated it properly yet but the picture is still great. I would however like a bigger screen, but budget didn't allow for that.

I'm boycotting Toshiba products for at least 2 years. That leaves Samsung and Sony. Since Samsung is a DLP, then well... But that's just me.

Go look at Samsung for LCD there new models are really nice. I am even thinking about the new 52" 650 or 750 series to replace my 50" 1080p plasma which is a Samsung and move it to the bedroom.

Equip:
Denon avr4308ci
Elite BDP-95FD
Samsung 5084 1080p
Def Tech BP 7002's, CLR 2500, UIW BPZ/A (2), UIW 84/A (2)
Denon DVD3930ci

Work friend got a Samsung over a Sony. He said for the price there was almost no difference in the picture and the better deal. Got a Samsung for my parents a couple of weeks ago.

I had no idea they made such nice HDTV's.

i use to be against any LCD or DLP TV. This past christmas I was on a budget and looked at LCD TV's. They have come a long way over the years. Before that I had a Poloroid Plasma TV that I got at CC for 1499 about 3 years ago. It had no HDMI but it did have a DVI input. ALOT of people said in reveiews that the TV was crap. It still works and is very nice. ANYWAY, We bought a 1080p 46" LCD tv the day before christmas. Took it home( in the back of a honda civic) and plugged in the PS3. It looked great but not perfect. We loaded it back up in the civic and went back to frys to return. TThis was the day after christmas. They had a 46 samsund LCD with 120hz for only 1799. It was like 3k 2 days earlier. Took it home and have been VERY happy ever since.

It is the 4669f or somethinf like that. Point is, Samsung is great at their LCD technology and the only reason we did not get a Sony is because of the price. At that time the 1080p plasmas were a little too high but that will probably be our next purchase.

I have a 32' REGZA in my bedroom. I really like this TV. 1st time buying a Toshiba product and was reluctunt but was glad with the results in the end. The cost + PQ was the main factor. Never had a SONY TV so I can't comment on that. Check them both out before you buy. Never hurts either.........."well kept guests"

Panasonic plasma. If money is not an issue and you want the best then get a Pioneer Elite.

I own the Sony your looking at, it's a excellent tv. Now if you are buying this for your main viewing room, I would suggest one of the new 52" bravia's. I've seen them only on the Sony site, but they are available now.
