Warner is shutting down it's Digital Downloads - Blu-ray Forum

...just got this in an email from Warner Brothers:

We wanted to provide you an update in regards to a previous order you made for a Digital Download on our site: http://www.wbshop.com.

We have decided to close down this service. As of June 28th, your digital downloads will no longer be accessible for download. We encourage you to log on and download any remaining movies that are still available by doing the following:

To download your digital movies please:

1. Open your PC/Desktop browser and go to http://www.wbshop.com
2. Log in to your account from the “Sign In” link at the top
3. Click on “My Downloads”
4. Click on a movie you wish to download
5. Click the “download” button and enjoy the movie!

If you have any questions or issues downloading your digital movie please contact us at: http://www.wbshop.com/category/customer+service/
contact+us.do

We appreciate your business!

It was pretty outdated, and expensive, so I doubt anyone will miss it. I think a better title would be to say WBShop is shutting it down, rather than Warner as that may confuse people.

this isnt gonna affect the UV movies in my Vudu account is it?

Is this related to movies obtained via Warner's Digital Copy Manager? I have a few movies obtained via that program but it was such a bad system I didn't bother with it much.

Before I entered this thread and read the first post, based on just the title, I thought Warner was shutting down the Ultraviolet downloads. I agree, a title change would be a good idea.
