United Kingdom No UK Blu for Veronica Mars

I know it's easy to import, but the fact that they're actually releasing the show on DVD, I'd imagine WB would think there's enough call for a blu release. Oh well, I can't say I'm surprised, just disappointed. Anyone else a little disappointed on this one?

Yeah, also disappointed about this

Was hoping to pick this up on release as I didn't get a chance to see it on its extremely limited release here. A wasted opportunity not to release it on BD I think. The film looked great.

Looks like I'll have to settle for the DVD

It was a very satisfying watch so this is unwelcome news. It seems either stupid or short-sighted to me as the UK is the 2nd biggest English-language market in the world and also a place where BD has a decent user base. If the Scandinavian nations and Germany are getting a BD release of this, why not us?

Actually, since the last quarter of 2013 you guys have become the biggest EU market. It makes sense that there's a German release, should be equally logical that there be a UK one

The film will be released 6th May in the US. Pre-order is only $14.99 on Amazon

As to the TV show, I'm not sure maybe someone else has some insider info

This doesn't surprise me at all. The same thing has happened with the VM book; it's available in dead tree format, but not as an eBook or audiobook.

Keeping hoping for the show to released on BD, but I think it unlikely.

Import it is, then....

I read somewhere that Warner's said the series did not sell well on DVD. However If they change there minds I would be up for a it. Loved the series and really looking forward to seeing the film.

I've had the series for a while on DVD, but I imported it ( the DVD is oddly region 0 ). I'm not sure, but I think the forthcoming box set is the first time it's official been released in the UK ( excluding the iTMS, where it's partially available in HD ).

I don't understand WB, everything they do with VM seems to be half hearted.

Totally 100 % they just don't care it should not have taken this long for the UK to get the series.

Yeah it probably didn't sell well because fans of the series have already imported it donkey's years ago. I know I did.

Was cheapest from Amazon.com when I was looking. The Scandinavian and German releases are more expenses as you can get the US for around £13 from Amazon delivered (that's cheapest shipping so 2 to 3 weeks to arrive).

It's weird that it's not in eBook format. Still, books are always better.
