Season 1 looked really disappointing on BD. I'm hoping they'll have re-scanned the early seasons, that that's what's been taking so long, though I certainly wouldn't expect it. I'll have to get it eventually anyway.

Anyone thinking that this is definitely a good sign for other HBO shows like The Wire and Six Feet Under? Would personally love both on blu.

Exactly the same here, it's a shame that Sopranos seems to be the only one on blu-ray!

Have you checked out Mad Men? It's in it's seventh season right now, and out of all the shows I've seen it reminds me the most of Sopranos.

I broke down and pre ordered, the show is just too good. The packaging looks nice or is that just user submitted?

and obviously Carnivale! But they seem to want to destroy every memory about its existence for quite some time now... Still, fingers crossed

I watched recently Six Feet Under on HBO Comedy HD (!), the first two seasons looked a bit "dated", but seasons 3-5 looked great in HD in my opinion. The Wire is currently airing on Cinemax HD Europe, but the PQ looks like upconverted SD Of course, this doesn't mean they can't make it look much better on Blu

Still, would love to have Six Feet Under on Blu

A friend of mine highly recommends the show calling it "a modern day Goodfellas". I am tempted to pre-order.

I desperately want to start watching it right now. I can't believe that I never watched this when it was on and I love gangster flicks.

You can still see episodes on Sky Atlantic nearly every night but they play episodes from different seasons but my advice to start at season 1 to get to know the family and all the characters.
