There is a six-disc blu-ray set that I am considering ordering from Amazon.de and was wondering if they package overseas shipments well? Thanks.

Yes they normally do. Single steels are shipped in a special steelbook box, and mutliple steels usually come in a bigger box with those special boxes inside it.
