It's out in quite a few other countries, I am honestly surprised it took this long to hit the states.

I'll buy it. I remember seeing this in the theater and hating it at first. I was a big fan of the books, and this film was a pretty awful adaptation. I revisited it a few years ago and found it to be charming; enjoyable if one tries not to compare it to the source material.

This is a solid movie... a enjoyable family film. Will want this for the collection and am glad it got announced.

I died when I saw this

Day 1 buy for me for sure this is one of my favorite movies ever!
Now if we can get a release in the states for City of Ember I'll be really happy! but for now this is good enough

Love this movie. Carey was a hoot...at the top of his game! The scenes by the ocean are still hauntingly beautiful to this day.

Surprised they never made any sequels to it, I think it did fairly well at the box office.

It did respectable business for a live-action children's film, but Paramount was expecting Harry Potter money. Besides, the kids would have grown too fast to make a reasonable franchise out of it.
