Arrow Aviator (Dutch Import)

Does anyone know if the dutch version is region free and features lossless audio ?

I am expecting the PQ to trounce the Warner release.

I really hope they respect the aspect ratio this time. The DVD was 1.78:1.

Mine arrived at the weekend and I have just checked it.
VC-1 encode, DTS HD MA soundtrack, removal subs and its region free.

Here a review of the Dutch release. Seems to be one of the first 50 GB discs from DfW.

Too bad the commentary wasn't included. I would have bought it.

PQ/SQ comes first. My copy on it's way. This is my first BD double dip. Shame on Warner for wasting 20 GB space on Blu-ray that could have been used for fitting lossless audio track.

Give me a break.

You can fit a 192kbps commentary on there.

Your claim doesn't fit here.

DFW is known for the lack off interessting features on DVD and Blu Ray. So I am not surprised.

But I will get this, because it's only 15 euro's (around US$ 20.=) over here and it features a DTS HD MA. That Lossless audio is more important to me than a audio commentary track. Especially compared to the Dolby Digital track on the WB version.

DVD Beaver has Region 1 screen shots that are in 2:31 (which match my DVD).

The DFW DVD was 1.78:1 instead of the 2.35:1. Your link shows the US DVD not the DFW DVD. Fortunately the kept the right aspect ration on this Blu Ray.

From what I saw, it looks like the DFW DVD included all the extras.

I''ll wait and see what another country does with it. Germany and UK are done by Buena Vista, DM did the HK version.

I don't know if this'll help anyone from Europe, but I just wanted to say that the French Blu-ray of this movie has a 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
I'll try to verify that on my TV as TF1 are known to let errors slip in their covers.

But it also has forced French subtitles, no?

Probably, but not confirmed. Why I think it has forced subs:
- TF1 release
- The menus show only sound options, and no subtitle options. Version Francias or Version Originale.

Check out DVDrama for a review.

The Dutch Aviator disc is now € 9,99. A very good deal if you ask me.

Any advise on where one can order this Dutch version? (I've tried several sites but translators like babblefish don't seem to translate all that much for me). Any help would be appreciated.

Thank-you for the link, I think I'll wait for the shipping delay to vanish before ordering though. I can't wait to watch this in HD with lossless audio. If anyone knows of any other site without the shipping delay that would be great to now.
