Default Any BD players with these features?

I would like to get started with BD if I could find a player that did the following.

1. Be able to play back BD and upscaled DVD at 1080i over component.
2. 5.1 audio analog out.
3. Divx and Xvid playback.
4. (optional) USB port for external drives.

I currently use a Helios Labs HD-4000 to play at 1080i over component to my 2004 model Mits 55" Diamond series, which I have no intention of replacing any time soon.

Thanks for any help.

You're in luck. The PS3 will handle each of your requests, and it is constantly upgraded with new features. It's widely considered the best all-around Blu-ray player available.

Yeah, I should have been more clear in my original post, I meant 5.1 analog.

I'm not aware of any device that upscales to 1080i over component.........only HDMI. Am I wrong? I don't think that any machine does all those. FYI the Philips BDP7200 does 5.1 analog outs and plays Divx.

As already mentioned, the PS3 does NOT have 5.1 analog outputs. It also doesn't upscale DVDs to 1080i over component... only HDMI.

Off the top of my head, Panasonic BD30 (and upcoming BD50), Philips BDP-7200, and the Denon DVD-3800BDCI all offer Divx playback and at least 5.1-channel analog outputs. OF those, the Denon and the Panasonic BD50 will internally decode advanced audio codecs to PCM and output that over analog outputs.

No BD player would truly be in spec if it allowed copy-protected DVDs to be upscaled to 1080i over component. While you can get DVD players that ignore CSS licensing rules and region coding, you aren't likely to see a BD player that will for quite awhile.
