Blu-ray Movies in Store Kiosks

I searched and didn't see this posted elsewhere. It will be interesting to see which Blu-rays end up getting offered for rent at $1.49.

DVDPlay, the company behind in-store supermarket DVD rentral kiosks that are ubiquitous throughout North America, has hopped aboard the Blu-ray bandwagon. The company announced this week that the first Blu-ray Discs will begin appearing in its kiosks next month, at the same cost ($1.49) as standard-DVD movie rentals.

Among the first movies released in early June will be “Men in Black” and “Untraceable.”

This is great, my wife just got onboard with renting movies from the kiosk. We do Netflix, but the kiosk is quick and easy especially if she runs to the supermarket for something.

I'm not sure about the "ubiquitous throughout North America" bit. I've got about 8 Blockbuster stores within 10 minutes of my house (all of which have stocked Blu for quite awhile now), plus I see the RedBox machines everywhere. I had to go to DVDPlay's website to even see who they were, and they had 0 locations within 50 miles of me.
