That when an epic movie is less than 2 hours, it feels... weird?
Thats how I feel now. Of course, comedy and such are exceptions, but blockbuster/popcorn flicks... I expect them to be atleast 2 hours. Anyone feels the same way or am I just retarded? |

It depends on the movie. I still consider Gravity to be a space epic, but it works perfectly with its 90 minute runtime. But action blockbusters, especially superhero ones should fulfill a long running time. For the most part long running times go hand in hand with the epic genre. They always have been.

Some movies aren't about strong stories though. I don't consider any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to be so, but I still enjoy them for some great action with fun characters. So yeah, movies like those should be long because the story it's trying to tell isn't the most important.
