Default Are You Spoiled With Movies Thats 2 Hours + Long?

That when an epic movie is less than 2 hours, it feels... weird?

Thats how I feel now. Of course, comedy and such are exceptions, but blockbuster/popcorn flicks... I expect them to be atleast 2 hours.

Anyone feels the same way or am I just retarded?

You're not the only one that feels that way...I know because this has been discussed to death on pretty much every thread on the site.

I prefer 2 hours of actual film presentation (not including credit sequences). Less than 2 hours and it usually feels "incomplete" or "thin" in actual content.

However long it takes to tell the story is all I care about. Whether that's 95 minutes or 195 minutes, doesn't matter. However, if a movie is 80 minutes or less...yeah, not spending money on that in a theater.

Only if there's 5 minutes of commercials and 20 minutes of trailers.

It depends on the movie. I still consider Gravity to be a space epic, but it works perfectly with its 90 minute runtime. But action blockbusters, especially superhero ones should fulfill a long running time. For the most part long running times go hand in hand with the epic genre. They always have been.

As long as it's good, I couldn't care less about run time.

Why does it matter how long a movie is? As long as it tells the story well it doesn't matter.

Some movies aren't about strong stories though. I don't consider any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to be so, but I still enjoy them for some great action with fun characters. So yeah, movies like those should be long because the story it's trying to tell isn't the most important.

If it's not 3+ hours it's just not worth it.

I agree with this!
Especially at the prices we now have to pay.
