Default p3 black bars

just bought a p3 @ walmart i put narnia in and the black bars seem to be bigger than they were on my bdp-s300? what should i have the p3 settings on?

mmm. well it depends what your tv is set to. Is on stretch, or Pixel for Pixel or 16x9. Pixel for pixel will make the black bars a little bit bigger, not huge though, also they may have had thier tv set on stretch or wide to fit or something.

Are you seeing black boxing on all four sides? If you're not, you should be OK.

One thing to check (if your TV supports it) is the amount of Overscan being applied to the input that the PS3 is on (as well as the one the BDP-S300 was using). For all HD devices, Overscan should be set to 0, but some TVs don't default to that setting, especially if you're connecting over component cables.
