Depending on the title it can be a contractual agreement with the licencer not to sell it to anyone outside of the UK. Hence some steels listed for worldwide sale and others for UK only.

It might not be very common for mainstream films but in the Anime world it's an every day occurrence. You can't really hold it against the seller if the licencer has made them agree not to sell outside UK, that's probably why they said to join a group buy.

Anime Lmited came in to the same trouble with their recent Mai Mai Miricle Kickstarter. They had to lose a lot of international backers due to the licencer in Japan only letting them ship to UK,US,Canada and ROI.

There are ways around it though. I forgot what the service is called, but essentially you sign up and are given a UK address to use when buying items that won't be shipped outside the UK, then when it get's delivered to the UK address it get's forwarded to your home adress. Could be worth looking in to for some of you.

well.. here´s the thing...
now I wanted to purchase titles that ARE INDEED AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE.. just the ebay shop or whatever isn´t working properly...
they´ve replied one time it´s going to be fixed within the next hours but any messages after that they´ve simply ignored... and it´s STILL not working...

yes.. steels are available in goup buys.. ebay from other sellers.. etc etc
but I SHOULD be able to buy each of em for 14.99 shipped so I am not overly exited to have to pay considerably more with paypal fees/postage and mail forwarding... I thought I´d wait for it to be fixed.. and tried contacting them again.. only to be ignored again....

they don´t seem to be needing the business if they can´t even be arsed to reply and help peeps to buy their items..???

Jack Ryan sold out. Who wants to guess what the next exclusive will be?

Default True Romance (Entertainment Store Exc.) 2 different Covers

I've been forced to go to Ebay and there are two different cover versions of True Romance, one has a sticker on the lower part that says: "Limited Edition of 4,000 copies Available exclusively at Entertainment Store." and there is an 18 logo above it on both sides. The other copies I'm seeing just have the plain front, no stickers. Why would they not have the stickers when the Entertainment store went out of its way to let you know it was an exclusive and limited print run? Also the copies with stickers seem to have a J card. I can't get a view of the back but it says blu ray across the top that looks exactly like a j card. Curious if this affects the value in any way, just curious about thoughts if any.

Probably best off asking the sellers, if they confirm and the unstickered ones turn up not to be the UK exclusive, if they don't agree to a full refund inc reimbursing the return shipping due to their error in description, just file a claim with paypal along with photo evidence to back up your communication with the seller an you will get the ruling in your favour.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, was just venting that since the entertainment store won't ship to me I'm forced to but a copy of True Romance (Entertainment Store Exclusive) off eBay. Some copies don't have the limited Entertainment Store Sticker or The J card on the very top of the front, can't find any that show the back of the steelbook. So I just wanted to ask any members if they know the copy has to have the sticker for it to be authentic. Because there are a lot more sealed copies without the sticker & J card. Thanks Huntauk, you seem to think that a version without the sticker and possibly j card is not the right copy. Any other opinions appreciated.

If it's sealed without a J card and the ES sticker on the wrapper it is either a reseal and they have been disposed of or it's another country's Steelbook.

Many of the ES exclusives are shared runs with other countries so it may be the True Romance one comes from elsewhere. An example is Jack Reacher which was extremely limited in UK via ES but was an Amazon.fr exclusive in France and they had vast quantities. Plus it ended up being discounted to clear. The Steelbook is identical and so is the BD inside its just a difference in the J card French v English. You saw many of the French version for sale on eBay, Amazon Marketplace and Play Trade in the UK. Not all said it was the French version. If you are going to open is no issue the problem is for collectors who leave them sealed.

True Romance hasn't been released anywhere else though. I think the possibilities are that the sticker has been removed by the seller, it was mistakenly never added at the factory or it is a re-seal.

Compared to Zavvi who announce new steels every day

Anchorman 2 is the next one followed by Jack Ryan, I don't know what the next Paramount release is after that but it's likely to get an ES Steelbook.

Yeah Zavvi is flooding the market way to much. I mean there is something called overkill. They are going to end up like the Guitar Hero games...done.
I would rather SB's be spaced out and not every single month. Don't get me wrong they are nice, but I'm not a whale like a lot of members are so my SB's fund is tight.

ES appear to have the license for first run Paramount titles based upon release history over last couple of years.

Therefore reasonable to assume Noah a Paramount film as their next steelbook.

I hear ES most likely will NOT release s4. fyi
That's not a good move! I would be super-pissed if I had bought the first 3. Especially with them saying in that article that they would keep them going...

We’re certainly planning to continue doing all future seasons of The Walking Dead in steelbook with matching artwork – it looks likely season 4 will be out in September 2014 as it follows the same pattern as Game of Thrones (i.e. the new season hits DVD and Blu-Ray just before the new season starts).

I bought all three, fairly cheaply, on ES's ebay store, but don't regret it.
I've been collecting long enough to know that the only thing studios are consistant at, is being inconsistant.

All three seasons still look great on my Walking Dead shelf.
