Default Panasonic Plasma shutting itself off

Hey guys, hopefully you can help me out. After after my TV on for a couple hours, sometimes longer, it will shut itself off, usually when I'm playing a video game. I checked the settings and I don't have a timer set or anything. It's about 3 years old. Does it shut off if it get's too hot or is there a more serious issue going on?

I've found a discussion board on the internet, concerning the same problem that you're having:

Do you get a light blink code? That might help. My older p42c2 plasma turned off one day and then would only blink the little red light. That is how they diagnosed it.

My 42" Panny plasma started turning itself off and giving the blinking lights. Turned out that one of the boards were defective and had to be replaced. To Panasonic's credit, they replaced the board for free after my warranty expired. This was apparently a relatively common problem on my model.
