How good is AT&T's U-Verse? - Blu-ray Forum

Been trying to get the MRS. to get satellite or cable for 2 years now. I haven't had anything but OTA channels for 10 years, so i jumped at the chance yesterday when she starts asking me what package i wanted. We have AT&T phone service so i guess she thought we'd just bundle it all together. Anyways, basic package is $44 + $10 for HD channels + $10 for the sports package (yeehaw, i get fox sports midwest so i can watch my beloved Redbirds) ends up equalling about $70 bucks a month and she gets cold feet and backs out, says that's too much and if i want it so bad i can pay for the whole deal. Well it's like i've got blu balls now, so obviously i want to get it, but had to ask you guys if this is standard pricing for sat/cable and to see if UVERSE has good quality HD.

someone said you can get dish network HD ONLY package for $30...... I'd do that!!!!
