Add "by Bobcat Goldthwait" to the end of your parentheses!

I think for most people, that will be the draw.

Sure...in a parallel universe where "Goldthwait" is spelled "Tarantino" or "Spielberg".

Not bad if you aren't sick of found footage horror yet. It works because the two main characters are believable and engaging and a nearly 20 minutes sequence that entirely takes place inside a tent will either bore or terrify you. I thought the sequence was genuinely tense even if I had a "was that all?" feeling by the end and even if it's all very "Blair Witch".

From the man that gave us Shakes The Clown? I'm totally in.

Amazon has it as a rental for $6.99. I'm going to watch it tomorrow.

Kind of interesting. It looks like they are filming at Bluff Creek, where the iconic Patterson-Gimlin film was shot back in 1967. So why "Willow Creek".

Also will the Finding Bigfoot team(Matt, Cliff, Ranae & Bobo) come to their rescue!
As a fan of the show, I'm definitely interested in seeing this. Bobcat being the writer/director is just icing on the cake!

Agree, this worked really well in the theater. There's humor leading up to the dread, too, and it helps draw you in. I think Goldthwait did a great job, and definitely recommend it to anyone interested in the subject matter.

I hope the bd uses the Alex Pardee poster art.

Yep. That's why I'm interested. I'm a horror fan, but I'm pretty sick of found footage. However, I like Goldthwait's previous directorial efforts, and I'm curious to see what he can bring to the genre. A friend said this was great.

After I saw Willow Creek I tracked down his God Bless America. I really liked that one and would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes black comedy.

Is that Detective Wilden from Pretty Little Liars?

And he gets naked. I can't wait for this. I've yet to see a good Bigfoot film though.

Hey, don't mistake "Goldthwait is the draw" with "Goldthwait is a huge draw." I'm just saying, the niche audience that will be interested, most of them will be interested because of him.

I'm interested, but don't really care either way that "Zed" of Police Academy fame directed it.

Saw it, and while I still love the FOUND FOOTAGE style for the most part, found this to be rather boring. Very little happens in this movie and when they do, it's not much of a payoff outside of the interesting twist they had at the very end.

And I read a comment about the 20 minute tent scene above and while I understand that they were trying to set up a tense moment, it just didn't work for me. Way too long and again....not much of a payoff.

And I thought the guy did a bad job. Woman was good for the most part, but they should have had another male lead.

4/10

Just finished this. It should've been called Pointless Found Footage Film #4769

I'm probably the only one who enjoyed the first half more than the second. Bryce Johnson is absolutely gorgeous and I could watch him all day, even on shitty found footage. The "tent" scene was dull and I kept waiting for something to happen. For a guy who was obsessed with Bigfoot and wanted to see a real one, he sure wasted time just sitting in that tent. Wouldn't you have a higher chance of getting killed in that tent anyway? If you're expecting to see a few seconds of Bigfoot, prepare to be disappointed because we only get moaning noises, rock throwing, and shaking bushes.

As for the ending,
[Show spoiler]Bigfoot (what's the plural anyway? Bigfeet?) with a Hills Have Eyes twist? Lame.

Like the design of the poster. It took me a second to see the foot.

I just rented this off iTunes this evening and liked it. I don't think I'll be buying it, but it's definitely worth a watch for those who enjoy found footage films.

I liked the tent scene, but I can understand how some people wouldn't enjoy that part of the film. It was a bit too long, but I appreciated the tension it was trying to (and successfully to a certain degree) build.

I try not to read about films before watching them... Wish I would have in this case! The 10 seconds at the end is interesting but 69min before aren't really worth it and there are a shit ton of loose ends story-wise. I love Bigfoot and was hoping to see an interesting take, but instead we got a Blair Witch remake and no Squatch to be seen! Bummer.
