Default Movies that SHOULD be released as a DIGIBOOK?

Some movies are just so-so and not deserving of the extra mile, but then others are BLOCKBUSTER HITS and deserve the full treatment.

So, which ones do you feel deserve to be Digi-books?

I would LOVE to see the following as Digi-books:

GREASE
HAIRSPRAY
FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
MOULIN ROUGE
THE WIZARD OF OZ
THAT THING YOU DO

Yeah, I think musicals make AWESOME digi-books.

That would be a good choice. They could repackage the comic that came with the DVD special edition to be the included book. I'd buy that in a second.

That would be awesome. I have the Walmart exclusive of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. One of my favorite digibooks. Very disappointed they chose not to continue those. As for the original trilogy, I already four copies of each between Blu-ray and DVD: standard, extended box set, steelbooks, and limited DVDs. Probably don't need a fifth, but I'd assuredly be compelled to buy it nonetheless.

My top choice at this point would probably be Phantasm. But heck, I'll just settle for it being released period.

Default King Kong '76...

... because an amray case will just look out of place between these two on my shelf:

Hard to nail down a movie for me, but honestly any movie with a documented, maybe colourful history works for me.

As long as they have an amaray and/or steelbook release as well, release every Blu-ray in a digibook for all I care. I sure as shit won't buy anything in a digibook though.

Yeah I'm over digibooks now. I have some in my collection and a few I really like, but overall I stay away cause I just don't like the way they look on my shelf next to my standard keepcases. Not a fan, but unfortunately some films are only available that way in the U.S., like King Kong (1933).

I would love to see Drop Dead Fred and Selena. Hell, I would settle for a regular BD release!

Drop Dead Fred would be awesome. I'd just like to see more Phoebe Cates films on Blu-ray period. Still looking to replace my Private School DVD, one of the few left that I own and haven't been able to upgrade. They need to honor Rik Mayall as well.

Maybe the death of Rik Mayall(Drop Dead Fred) earlier this month will give someone the idea/motivation to work on BD transfer of the movie. Sad that he is gone, he was a great actor.

Yeah, they stick out, so I only get them for movies that had a literary precedent (read: book). So I have Hamlet, Jaws and Shawshank digibooks.

Yes. The U.S. DVD appears to be out of print as well, and is currently going for obscene prices on Amazon.

I know it is and I never picked up a copy before, and I refuse to pay upwards of $80 for the dvd even if it is an amazing movie.

I will take a Digibook over a metal pack or armaray case any day, but prefer a Steelbook to everything else.
