Default Supergirl - Warner Archive Blu-ray Jul 24

Supergirl Blu-ray

So with the 30th anniversaries of Gremlins and Ghostbusters being properly celebrated on blu-ray, where oh where is Supergirl?

Hoping for an all encompassing release:

1. The US cut (105m)
2. The British cut (110m)
3. The European cut (125m)
4. The Director's cut (140m)
5. Possibly even the "longer" Director's cut that once aired on UK TV with a "dorm room" scene that's never been seen since!

Does Anchor Bay still own the property, or has it fully reverted to WB?

Supergirl definitely needs a blu release. Not as good as the chris reeve superman's but its part of my childhood and i probably watched it just as much as the superman films. I really wish chris reeve would have been a part of it as he was originally supposed to be. It may have not made it a better film, we'll never know, but it sure would have done more at the box office thats for sure. Anyway, it needs to be released, all cuts, and full of goodies!!!!

I was thinking about this movie just yesterday and almost put in my Limited DVD copy to watch it.. but I kept thinking maybe I should wait for BLU lol.

If WB releases it something tells me it would be one cut only.

Could there be such a deviation of opinions?
But we're off topic now..

So which cut deserves to be on Blu if they choose one?

Do u serve the "longest" version just because or is there a cut that gets to the point w/out superfluous footage that was left on the floor for a reason?

I cant image 5 cut package.

Or could you just have all the extra footage placed in deleted scenes?

And is there a commentary?

I watched the DVD last year. I really wanted to enjoy it, but alas, it was painful to sit through. I wish it was better. It had potential, but it did't work that well IMO.
