Default Just started 6 Feet Under

OK, a few people have recommended this series and it was the one HBO series I put off watching, didn't seem very interesting. WOW was I ever wrong. A few weeks ago BEST BUY had series 1-5 for $16.99. So I figured buy Season 1, if I like it I buy the rest - simple. Halfway through Season 1 I was on BestBuy.com securing seasons 2-5. As of this writting I just started Season 3 and I really can't believe how intelligent the script is and how engrossing the characters are. Ruth Fischer is a dynamo and really portays someone I think we all know. I am almost saddened that this series only runs 5 seasons. Could it have run more? One I got past the shock factor of guys "making out". Cuz these guys do "make out", I settled right in with the Fischers. Don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with the gay community but I've never actually "seen" it. Know what I mean. Anyway, Claire and Brenda are extraordinary complex character and one of my favorites along with Rico. I can go on and on. Anyone else a fan?

My wife and I both consider this to be our favorite show ever. It is so very fantastic. Well written well acted. It never lets up, and the series finale is one for the ages. Good to see another fan on here.

Just a side note The Shield is also one of my favorite shows ever.

Six Feet Under is ridiculously good. From beginning to end it doesn't dissapoint. Alan Ball is a frickin genius. Hes working on a new series for HBO now about vampires or something. There is very little info on it.

one of the best shows ever. period. and no, it lasted only 5 seasons because that's when alan ball chose to end it, much to the surprise of his cast. just wait to the 5th season...it's pure gold

I'm thinking of checking this out. However, I saw the final episode, which has possibly the greatest ending in TV history. I blind bought The Sopranos though, and didn't like it at all, so I hope it won't happen with this.

I love both series but for different reasons. Trust me, Six Feet Under is the real deal, maybe a little too much angst though. Check out the link below to see what people are saying, at TV.com its ranked #179 of 17,000+ shouws reviewed. Recieving 9.1/10 from 99 reviewers.

I picked up season 1 last Summer after reading glowing reviews. Before you could say Rumpelstiltskin, my wife and I were gobbling up 2-3 episodes nightly as we watched all five seasons. A wonderful show and, yes, a fantastic ending.

I used to watch it on HBO when I had HBO and it was still on. I then watched it on Bravoin reruns(although it wasnt the same edited and with commercials) for a while, liked it so much I went and bought the complete series box set. Awesome show with very complex characters.
