Default I'm going Blu

I sold my HD DVD Player a few week ago on ebay and I want to go Blu? For some reason when I go to BB or CC it just seems to me that the PQ on the Blu-ray players looks sharper, clearer and just plan better...

Just get a PS3. It's the smarter purchase even if you don't play games.

Very smart move, I did that a few months ago, and I'm thrilled with my sony BDP-S1 !!

PS3 reads discs fast and it does so much more for your entertainment center....like store music and pictures.....aside from gaming..

you could realistically purchase a PS3 and never use it for games..

Yes, this is correct. I own PS3 since May 5th. It is huge difference between dvd and Blu-ray. On Blu-ray with HDMI output, it provide more details on the pq. Depend on what kind hdtv set you have. Some people have 1080p, while most of us have 1080i. I have 1080i, tough, still big difference and best picture, more details than dvd format.

I areadly have post my experience in Playstation 3 review thread few weeks ago.

So, I strongly recommend Playstation 3 60gb, due to benefit of update firmwares via wireless.

For the love of Pete go with the PS3!!! From everything I've read, it has the fewest problems with playback of Blu-Rays AND it decodes Dolby TrueHD (which Warner is switching over to).

Yes, my hdtv is 1080i (768p) Sony Bravia KDL-40S2010. I am not sure if it is 768p, all I can tell 1080i with PS3 via hdmi still look great because of 40 inch HDTV.

Therefore, on your 1080p HDTV, it will look greater because of 1080p, FULL HD.

It's what Sony uses for demoing their blu-ray players on at CC and BB. I love this TV
