I wouldn't complain though if they used a great looking, new transfer without any special features.

This has to have a better transfer, it can't be that difficult to outdo Mill Creek.

Japanese blu ray releases always get the most out of the available master. I don't doubt that this will look about as good as the available master allows it to look.

That they faked a 2.35:1 aspect ratio on their release of They Live, using the Italian master, doesn't exactly instil me with confidence

Don't know about the PQ either. Found some pics though, it comes in DVD packaging, just like TC Ent.'s releases of "DeepStar Six" and the 1080i abortion of "The Changeling."

Someone from the German Cinefacts forum purchased the JP edition. He mentioned that the transfer of the US edition (Echo Bridge Entertainment) was used. Resolution is 1080i.

"Disc ist codefree
Bild: 1080i (lt. Cover 1080p, aber das Programm BD-Info sagt 1080i)
Ton: Englisch in DTS-HD MA 5.1 und 2.0, Japanisch in DTS-HD MA 2.0
