the best team is a 97 and the wrost team is a 67?!?!?

LOL

This is laughable. The people who make this game are completely clueless. They have zero football knowledge. It's sad.

I agree with you on this. If the best team has a 97 rating, the worst team should be no less then 76 - 78. The coach has a lot to do with it.

One thing that frustrated me about '08 was the interceptions. Most INTs in the NFL come from tipped balls. For one there were too many INTs and hardly any tipped balls for INTs. Don't even bother throwing it to Champ Bailey's Wide out he picks it off everytime. There is a lot of updates to be made to this new one let alone the ranking numbers. What a croc!!

my brother and best friend got to test the game at EA in Maitland Fla...they were telling me that after a touchdown you can get your guy to do things like dunk on the goal post.

...but until they fix the crummy inconsistencies, I will not be buying the Madden franchise anytime soon.

First perfect vote. They have an impossible task rating players. A mediocre RB will get more yards and look better behind a great line than a great RB behind a weak line.

The Bears with a 95 rating last year go to an 80 rating this year...

WITH THE SAME TEAM!!!!!!!!

The EA developers are clueless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the teams should be from best to worst:

Pats 99
-
-
-
Falcons 82

Any team can beat any team if played right.

i hope these get updated as soon as release. The devs basically go off of what was said at the draft. Starting to get stupid. They should just put the same for everyone then update on release day!

DNA, you are 100% correct. The closer ratings makes for better games and great competition. Not to mention, that's the way it is in real life.

something like this-

Patriots 99 (18-1. The 1 is the BIGGEST 1 ever.)
Cowboys 95 (every playoff game ends in a Romo turnover. Can't get out of the 1st round)
Chargers 94 (Norv. enough said. Let's see what they do in 08)
Colts 98 (hit with the injury bug. healthy in 08. back to the bowl?)
Giants 97 (all Rookies. all amazing. The start of a dynasty??)
Steelers 94 (on the up swing or on the down swing??? not sure)
Jaguars 95 (on the up for sure)
Packers 93 (no Favre. ouch! Aaron Rogers looked like Doo Doo when he came in for the God)
Eagles 91 (still no WR. McNabb will be on the run again)
Bucs 91 (a solid 91. nothing great, nothing self-destructive)
Vikings 90 (Maybe the best lines in football+All Day Peterson, BUT no QB)
Browns 92 (Great team. Solid Coach. Quinn salary was a huge mistake)
Redskins 90 (Who knows. Dan Snider is a complete moron. Bad coach pick???)
Seahawks 89 (another bunch of question marks. Shouldn't have let their Lineman go in free agency)
Saints 88 (Bush will be out of the league within 3 years)
Panthers 87 (same Ol stuff. Need a QB)
Broncos 85 (Another team needing a QB although some think he's great. I say, no way)
Titans 85 (Wow. What can I say. Great D but they didn't know Vince only ran 2 plays at Texas. QB is as bad as they get)
Bills 90 (strong team. Tremendous heart. Coached to the max. Playoff bound)
Ravens 88 (should be really tough. May have their QB problems ironed out. FINALLY)
Bengals 83 (Get ready for the toilet bowl. The most undisciplined team you'll find)
Bears 89 (Rex. Enough said.)
Cardinals 85 (Strong team. Bad coaching decisions. Front office set the team back 4 years and completely doomed Matt Leinart with the firing of Coach Green.)
Texans 87 (as goes Matt Schaub, so goes the team. Health is the key. Great D)
Lions 85 (Front office is as bad as it gets. Completely wrong from top to bottom)
Rams 84 (Coaching is at the bottom of the league)
Jets 83 (From Mangenius to Manmoron in the span of 4 months. The Fans won't let them succeed. Shame)
49ers 81 (Should have never drafted Alex Smith. I said this years ago. They got rid of 2 good QBs. They need a line.)
Chiefs 82 (Herm gets rid of their best player for a draft pick?!?!? come on)
Raiders 86 (19 running backs. Um... nope!)
Falcons 85 (Ryan wasn't the best QB in the draft but I understand. Pray for a win)
Dolphins 86 (With over 20 new players on the roster, they won't be as bad as everyone thinks. Tuna=wins. The Fins might be second in the Division, only behind the Pats. Don't be surprised.)
