I have a Samsung TV and a Samsung bluray player. Trying to watch a DVD through bluray player on my TV while using TV speakers but audio is out of sync. Tried other HDMI cords but still same issue. Tried other disc and still same issue any help would be appreciated.

Hello guys,
well, as I see no one has answered this thread and it's getting old, but since I didn't find a proper thread for my question and I as a new member I can't create a new thread I try to ask here... So, I start at the beginning: I bought Lost Seasons 1-6 Blu-ray collection from Zavvi (a UK online webstore, I'm from Hungary, Europe, by the way). I wanted to watch them on my PS3, since I've always watched Blu-ray movies on it, worked perfectly, until recently. I had many problems with Lost Blu-rays, PS3 didn't want to play them, loaded a lot, then made an "eject sound", but nothing happened, just loaded more, then stopped and nothing happened. I ejected the disc, inserted it again and do about 10-15 times again, then suddenly, with no reason, it just played it fine. But it was very frustrating, I had to do this procedure every time, it happened every seasons's disc and I didn't know why, because I had no problem with other PS3 games or movies. Whatever, I gave up, I worried it will ruin PS3 player (maybe it might, because now PS3 needs more time to load other movies, but it's okay), so I bought Blu-ray player. But now I also have problems with that. I have a Samsung HT-350 DVD-player (it's with surround system), an LG TV and now I bought a Samsung F-5100 Blu-ray player. The first problem I didn't realize, that Blu-ray player doesn't have optical cable. I use my PS3 as I connect it with HDMI cable to TV for video and with optical cable connected to the DVD player for audio. I thought I could use that with Blu-ray player, but at home I realized it only has coaxial out, my bad. So, all in all, now I use this method: the Blu-Ray player is connected to TV with HDMI, and the TV is connected to DVD-player with optical cable. It looks it's working, I have sound and video, the player doesn't have problem to play the disc, but, I have audio sync problem, the sound delays. I can't tell how many millisecond or what, it's not so bad, but enough to bother me. It's usually standing out when something happens fast, like somebody's knocking on door or choping some woods with axe or at gunshots. But it can be really frustrating when someone just talks. I looked up the settings, I found nothing on Blu-ray player, only DVD-player has settings for audio delays, but I can only prolong this delay, not shorten it. When I played movie on PS3, I hadn't have these problems. Could be the problem with my connection method? Can I do something in some settings or do I have to connect some other way? |
