That is why I cannot buy into this kind of stuff until the series is over...it is just too much money to keep buying them every time a new movie in the series comes out.

It looks much better than the old DVD box set with a statue, that one was simply terrifying to me:

Looks good but I agree, give it a few years and there will be a movie that is missing (unless they plan ahead and leave a spot). But it looks great, if i had a spot and didn't already have the original films on blu-ray, I would be all over this.

I can see this becoming a foxconnect exclusive here. Either them, or Amazon.

Placed my uk amazon order but wondering if making right choice being from uk and most my collection purchased from three, now living in Australia its working out I think ten dollars more to buy from jb hifi if no prices change and exchange rate does not change much.
And its waiting for shipment from uk vs within australia my last shipment from amazon uk less than a week.im sure the Australian one will sell out quickly when out being not enough to go around.
What do you recommend keep uk pre order or pre order jb hifi there maybe a change amazon drops in price but maybe not jb.

I told myself I was done with bulky exclusives, but I would actually love this to go with the Original series' Caesar bust, so I pre-ordered. If the U.S. (through Amazon or FoxConnect, as MifuneFan stated) gets this, then I'll order that one. Really cool lookin'.

Even though the '68 original is my favorite movie and I've been collecting APES stuff for decades, I refused to buy what I called "The Head" because then I would have been buying that putrid 2001 "reimagining." HATE, HATE, HATE that cinematic turd. Also, the transfers on the cartoon series were made from 16mm masters. Fox later sold the cartoon series alone and mastered from 35mm elements. "The Head" was a rip-off.

Fox really needs to do a 4K restoration of the '68 original. It doesn't currently look all that bad on Blu-ray, but it also doesn't look or sound as good as it could. It's getting tiresome waiting for Fox to do right by the classic film that has made them so much money.

I liked the DVD set, you could comb Caesar's hair while watching cartoons... If there is no US release I'll buy from UK.

A warning to those in US considering JB in AU, I had a bad experience trying to buy the Thunderbirds DVD bust set. I received notice it was ready to ship - then they cancelled with the explanation "Please be advised that due to commercial and market region regulations, JB Hifi Online can only ship this item to Australian addresses" I asked for more information - and received the same answer - and no order

I now live in australia and came from uk where most of my collection is from I put in a pre order with amazon uk and have in past had a order arrive here within a week.but I'm think why not order from jb hifi may even get it sooner has less distance to come etc.
Bit then I'm probably guaranteed one from amazon of pre order but unsure who jb hi fi is right now it only works out about 10 dollars more to buy from jb.
