How can PQ/AQ be different? Isn't that larceny?

There's Blocking ehere and there and the sound is Lossy. So i'am pretty if Dreamwork release it in the US it would be better..

It is a HD DVD limited VC-1 encode but the picture quality is good for the most part, though I agree a maxed out encode on a dual layer BD would look better. Unfortunately the audio is only a lossy Dolby Digital soundtrack.

I only saw the movie once. I don't remember much about it but I do recall liking it enough to buy it whenever it did arrive on Blu.

I've got the import....I haven't seen it for a while but from what I remember, it looked fairly good. I can't recall how good the sound was though.

I imported it from the UK.

Picture quality is very good and AQ was quite good for regular Dolby 5.1. Would benefit from a PCM or other losseless track.

PQ on the import is pretty good but it doesn't have lossless sound (as others have noted already). It's good enough that I may pass on getting the US version though.

i was lookin at Amazon uk and noticed they had The Island on blu-ray, and i was looking to buy it, but i just wanted to know if it would work on my Panasonic DMP-BD30?

If you look under Region B you'll see The Island listed as Yes for Region Free.

Beautiful PQ. Just be aware there is no lossless audio. The DD track is pretty decent though.

As far as a US release is concerned anything in the rumor mill as to when we will see this on BD? Can't wait to see Scarlett on BD in this movie!

+1 but for time being we have to be content with the import version from Warner which features LOSSY AUDIO and 1 film extra.
