I really liked the concept behind the first movie, and it was certainly watchable, but ultimately it did suffer from poor writing with hollow characters who make really stupid choices. I'd still be interested in seeing the second movie, though.

OMG ! Just watch it yesterday ! It is so much fun, almost feel like a GTA game !

but it's scary at the same time !

The main actor, Frank Grillo is the reason why it is so good. He put on a very strong performance, better than all the cast of the suckpendables 3 !! Really this is a perfect combination of action, thriller and horror !!!

The 1st movie was good but this one is excellent... i would give 6.5/10 to the 1st and 8/10 for this one ! Better characters, much more violence and gore. It's awesome !

Cannot wait for this to hit second run theaters and then own it on Blu-ray. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Totally dug the stripped down small-party-navigates-Hell throwback hijinks and the air of wild lefty paranoia.

my walmart had this out a week early today but didnt pick it up for $24.96, bestbuy and target both have it for $22.99 next week. So it appears i will wait for BF deal or price drop on the zavvi steelbook

So crazy impressed with this. Cannot believe what a vast improvement this was over the original. Bigger, bolder, and more ambitious than its predecessor. The ideas presented are still very flawed but if you don't over-think the concept this is an immensely entertaining survival action/thriller. The increase in budget really shows. Did not expect I would get as much enjoyment out of this one as I did. Frank Grillo was awesome. A total bad-a*s. Can the eventual third be this much fun? I sure hope so.

8/10 (A-)

I thought the first one was one of the worst movies of the year. The whole concept of this movie is just laughable. I can’t believe a movie like this gets a sequel.

I enjoyed the first one. It was something different, but nothing I would have spent money on to own the Blu-ray at the time. I might pick it up if I see the price cheap enough for my taste. Anarchy was a lot better, but still, not something I would pay top dollar to own. The second one was a lot better though, and yes, the daughter was annoying as hell.

I figured this much. Hopefully will be dirt cheap on BF.

Getting a lot of mixed reviews. I like Frank G. How much screen time does he actually have? Is he the "lead actor" in this?

I think exactly the same. I was told this one was better than the first one so I gave it another chance, considering I thought the first one was absolute crap. Well, while this one wasn't that bad, it wasn't good either. It was like another kind of crap, but crap still.

I believe this has been said and discussed before but the plot is good, the execution of both movies was terrible.
