theres so many that should be on this list, and a few that shouldn;t be on here I love BLS but Zakk just isn't a very good singer IMO.

Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage should be on this list, Chino Moreno from Deftones should be on this list. But even with all that I can't Deny Rob Halford's killer scream.

Matt Barlow of Iced Earth is my current favorite! The man can sing anything! He has an amazing baritone voice but he can also sing high which is a very rare combination in singers!

All time favorite has to go to Ozzy. He just has such a distinctive voice.

Would you honestly categorize Alice as metal? He probably would belong in the classic rock category though honestly, I don't think his voice is strong enough to be considered among the best.

I'm shocked at the number of votes for Hetfield. Are you serious?!? I love Metallica too but c'mon guys, vote with your ears, not your hearts!

I was actually kind of worried about his voice because a couple of the live albums are not so good, but holy shit his voice was perfect!!! It blew me away how amazing he sounded. He could not have done a better job. And the stage was sweet too! They had Eddie come out walking around playing on the guitar haha it was amazing! the set list was freaking awesome. I just wish they had played running free though, besides that 0 complaints from me. best show ever period.

Ugh, vote retraction! Layne Staley for me hands-down, his voice is unmatched. But voted for Dio initially, Bruce is also pretty amazing.

Did they confirm a new album yet? I was wondering about that. I'm ready for a new Maiden album. I liked A Matter of Life and Death but I grew tired of it rather quickly. Now I rarely listen to it. Brave New World has been in my rotation pretty consistently since it came out in 2000!

Some consider them metal, some not, but Maynard James Keenan from Tool definitely deserves a nod.

I went with Rob Halford since I am of the old school and he has never shown weakness and his range is unmatched. I saw them on the Painkiller tour and to this day, it is the most awesome show I have seen.

hetfield got my vote, since im a huge metallica fan. but id have to say he only got my vote because of the justice/black album era. those tours sound amazing.

also, corey taylor of stone sour/slipknot is a hell of a vocalist and a great performer as well. stone sour is one of my favorite bands and is probably one of the best live shows ive ever seen
