so this is the exact set sans the DVD's from the Legacy box. Steep price at $53 bucks.

Looks like it. Unless they color corrected them for this release, which would be a huge slap in the face to those that got the Legacy collection.. It should be about $42 when it comes up for pre-order on Amazon. Down the road I expect it to go down to around $30, if not less.

I think the Legacy collection was the slap in the face to those who got the Legacy collection. I really feel sorry for everyone involved in that mess; those who had to deal with buying and returning, and even those that put the damn thing together. I'm sure sales were hurt pretty significantly.

Here's hoping this reissue gets it right once and for all.

Also, waiting on Game of Death 2...

Might get this one. I don't need DVDs anymore, so this seems like a sweeter deal.

Same here. Hopefully they will have all the same language options as the box set.

The existing set has 4 worthless DVD duplicates and the "I Am Bruce Lee" doc is seperately available on Blu but if the disc count is correct you lose the two bonus discs that are actually exclusive to the bigger box. I'm all for less-cumbersome packaging and not being forced to buy unwanted DVD copies but the previous set still apparently has more content.

The ideal configuration for this content would have been the 4 discs included, the "I Am Bruce Lee" doc on Blu and all the SD content from those two DVDs on a 6th Blu-ray disc.

I think it's safe to say Shout won't be spending anymore money on these...

A 4-disc film only set is fine by me if I can get it at a reasonable price (and assuming the previous extras (i.e. Game of Death Revisited and the Japanese HD cut) are still on each respective disc). I doubt they'd go to the expense of repressing just to remove something. That would be crazy.

Good news, assuming they're careful to use the Blu-rays with the HD masters.

Burn me once...

Not to be rude to everyone but I sure hope that these are not color corrected. I would certainly hate to pay extra for something that I should have gotten the first time. Other than the non color corrected discs, I thought the set was pretty good. Of course, it would have been perfect to have the extras on blu and perhaps a little more streamlined package.

That's more like it, just the four movies will suit me fine. Not at $53 mind you, I'll wait for a better price than that.

Yeah, this was only a matter of time. I'll get it when it's much cheaper. Also, I want to read through a couple people's posts who have received it before I order because it ain't exactly been Shout's day releasing Bruce Lee on Blu-ray. Heaven forbid they get it right the first time with this set.

Awesome, really glad the legacy collection isn't the only way to get these packaged together. I like it when things fit nicely on my shelf
