DualShock 3 Question

Ok i got 2 duelshock 3 controllers
i downloaded some demos and theres no rumble in the games.

Are the demos non rumble?

And is there a list of games that use the rumble
and will the games from now on this point be rumble capable?

i traded in the sixaxis controller i had for the blu ray remote and a little cash left over.


I havent had the ps3 but a couple weeks and starting to build the collection of games and blu rays...slowly

after those questions feel free to recommend me a couple games and blu rays that are must haves that look good.

And i have a 52 inch 1080p lcd..do you keep it on that and play the games or do you turn it to 720p or whatever the game calls for?


Just some questions that should tide me over for a while...like i said..Im new

I have not tested it, but it most likely depends on the demo. Games that have had DS3 support added, the demos do not have DS3 support because the demo was out before DS3 was. It works great for the games that do support it though.

I'm not too sure if the demos support DS3, but the newer released demos should.

Anyways, for games I just use the "Just Scan" setting on my HDTV, that way I get the OAR (Original Aspect Ratio) of the game. Plus I think the PS3 just outputs whatever the native resolution is for the game. I'm too sure though.

I started playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 today and it had rumble.

i bought this controller yesterday. it didn't rumble on resistance. is this online only? i felt it on MGS4.

Sorry to jack the thread but, does anyone know if CoD4 rumbles, or GTA IV?? I'm waiting on my DS3 to still show up. (Walmart is so slow sometimes) CoD4 would be sweet for the rumble and so would GTA with all the crashs lol lemme know! Thx!!!

As far as I know COD4 isn't going to get a patch. Developers said it is to hard for them to do. (lazy)

I know Assassin's Creed is supposed to have had rumble added to the game. It is on Sony's official of DualShock3 compatibility list to have vibration added. Last time I checked I didn't feel any rumble, is there a certain way to patch this game or am I just missing it? Or have they not added it yet?

This list does not include Demo's. Demo's for games that have had to have support added most likely do not have rumble, Demo's for games that ship with rumble most likely have it.

The Assassin's Creed patch should download automatically when you start the game with your PS3 connected online (and possibly need to be signed into your PSN account).

I tried the patch myself, gave me rumble.

I'm leaning heavily towards getting one soon - is there anybody who got one and doesn't feel it was worth the "upgrade"?

I think the only people that didn't think it was worth it were those in love with the lightness of the SIXAXIS but I haven't heard a peep from that minority for months. They're probably happily rumbling too now.

For me I never purchased a second controller thinking one day Sony would have a rumble controller. I have a launch system too so I waited a while. If you are in need of another controller, the extra $5 is not a bad deal. You could also trade in a Sixaxis to help with the cost. And there are sites that offer the controller for as low as $39.99. It is nice to have rumble back, but I did grow to not miss it or care with the Sixaxis. You have to make the call for yourself, but the games that have it implemented do rumble nicely.

Well, i got the patch and it didn't rumble. I think it was patch 1.10. I have to do it again since I had to install a new HDD. I will just have to try it again once I am done messing around with MGS4.
