Geonosis wins, but you have to add the tagline "Ok this IS a really sh*tty movie that sh*ts all over your memories but it has Megan Fox in HD*"

*Ok you got me...she is as dumb as a post in the film but it is Megan Fox in HD

I tought it stayed pretty most on par with the original series. They changed the cars themself, some robot name didn't really match their conterpart, but they had no choice. The serie was cheeseball itself so the movie matched it pretty well. I doubt that G.I. Joe will be as fun as this but maybe.

When you're adapting stuff from the 1970-80 you have no choice to make change. I mean a Used bettle or new one in fact can't race unless it's heavily modified to death. Anyway, TF can be whatever they want

Btw the HD DVD was a slipper case, once you removed the slipper, they was only a Megatron or Optimus face and the rest was pure white. Looked cheap as hell

It relied too much on the humans and it became rotten cheese.
The Bumblebee playing a song for everything was so cliche and predictable and not only that Bumblebee "peed" on someone...that is asinine.
The ending most of all though was the worst.
Optimus Prime got his ass kicked completely, and Spike is the one that took out Megatron...THAT is where my biggest issue was.
It was horrible and right out of the made for the family channel movie guide.

And "All Spark"..
Seriously... "All Spark"...
That sounds like a name from a third grader's fan fiction.

"The Allspark" was taken from Beast Wars, and yeah, it sounds pretty lame. But Joe Sixpack would probably think "the Matrix" would just sound like a rip-off of "The Matrix", even though The Transformers used it long before the Warschowski brothers did. And I guess they just couldn't be bothered to come up with something else, so there you go...

They could have called it the "Energon Cube" or something else, who gives two shits about "joe sixpack"...
Didn't anyone learn that during the blu vs hd war?

I'm sure every fan would have loved Paramount/Dreamworks to have tailored it to our personal own visions of how it should be made, but studios are going to cater their blockbusters for Joe Sixpack whenever they can, whether we like it or not.

Love the Megan Fox cover, but unfortunately, that won't be what we get. It'll be the same as the 2 disc DVD/ HD Dud cover, where on the front you have Optimus, on the back there's Megatron, with a slipsleeve that adds the title sideways.

That got me thinking. How about a special tin case edition? Or some other gimmick? Not that it needs a gimmick to sell, but the collectable aspect certainly makes people buy.

I d/l'ed the HD DVD version, replaced the logo's with blu-ray, printed it, and covered my Species cover. So, technically, I have the first Transformers blu-ray cover sitting on my shelf.

Default Megan Fox is sooo hot!!

She's been named the most beautiful woman alive by FHM. Megan hired a personal trainer that comes to her three times a week. An article at http://www.projectweightloss.com says she's lazy and hates to workout.

Well if you considered that nobody gave a S*** about this subject or most of the Tv Serie. Theres a Fan following, my friend is a hardcore fan (real hardcore) and i told him before the movie was release : There's no way that it will make more than 100M$, but we where wrong. We both knew that. They made it simple so that every joe could see it and kinda get what was going on. They also made it more humain to get more people to see it. If it where only robots, only geeks and nerds would have seen it it would have failed miserably. I mean apart from Star Wars, there's really no Sci-Fi movie in the top 20 for money making.

I saw it 5 times at cinema, didn't CARE at all about the TV SERIE itself and i since watched it at least 20 times on HD DVD. I had fun, just that.. pure fun watching it. Were others failed completely (indy 4 for example) for me....

Don't be so sure...

Check out the listing over at DVD Empire

Notice in the "Available on other Media" section there is a standard definition Transformers: 2 Disc Special Edition (Transforming Megatron Package) to be released on September 2, 2008 - the same day as the Blu-ray. The HD DVD had the same packaging as the 2-Disc standard DVD released on October 16, 2007 and I wouldn't be surprised if the Blu-ray has the same packaging as the new 2-Disc Special Edition coming out on September 2nd.

I don't care, the movie is more important to me than how the artwork looks for this great action movie, I just hope the second one is a little more like the first one should have been.
