Default The Crazies -Original or Remake

The Remake's been a pleasant surprise for me, slightly better imo.
Both not great, but solid. Whats your take?

have both in my collection... prefer the remake. The original has it's moments but suffers from early Romero low budget/poor acting issues...

I enjoyed the original much more than I expected, but it is still the remake that got me interested so much that I pursued to watch the original.

The remake is very bland to me, just like every other slick glossy infected film of today. The original is no favorite of mine, but at least it is more interesting.

Neither are great, but the remake was beautifully shot, had a better cast and some decent set pieces. I saw the original The Crazies only once a long time ago when it got re-released because of the success of Dawn of the Dead and found it rather dull.

Remake. I was not a fan of the original. Should probably watch it again.

Remake. The main things I liked in the original was seeing Lynn Lowry and the scene of the old lady stabbing the soldier with her knitting needles!

That scene made it to a lobby card style poster I've seen.

The remake is one of the best horror remakes of all time. Great film.
