Default Tekken 2: Kazuya's Revenge

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Tekke...lu-ray/110394/

I actually saw this already, and it seems like a typical martial arts action film with the Tekken name slapped on it as well as the appearance of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. There were no tournaments or hardcore Tekken elements to speak of. I'm guessing this is a prequel to the first film that was released back in 2010. Long story short, this movie was not very good and didn't have continuity with the choreography either. Kane Kosugi and Gary Daniels displayed some awesome moves, but poor editing resulted in a botched film. I will say that if the Tekken element was taken out, this film would've been much better. I am also disappointed that Kane's first leading role was in a film that ended up being sub-par. I hope this guy gets another break in another US production soon. He has too much talent for this.

Yea, This snuck up on me when I went to Target this weekend. I didn't even realize they made a sequel. The first one was alright but after reading the reviews for this one I won't even bother.

If you do decide to watch it, go in with low expectations. This movie should have been a stand alone action film without the Tekken brand. It would have done so much better that way. I wonder what idiot decided to change the name during post-production to Tekken 2 lol. It was supposed to be called A Man Called X.

Also, if you look at the back of the slip the AV presentations looks to be horrible. It's aspect 2:35:1 ratio, but the audio is presented as stereo! Even if the movie was good, I still wouldn't purchase due to the AV presentation.

I love Tekken, and the last time I was in FYE I seen the first movie. I was about to buy it but held off. I then seen the reviews and glad I did. I won't be getting this one either. I wish someone would make a decent Tekken movie.

I wishing the same, but there has to be enough demand for it. Hopefully, they'll make up for this recent flick. Kane Kosugi had too much talent for this film.

I'm not familiar with the tekken game franchise so went into this strictly as a martial arts movie fan, enjoyed the first one a lot and I must say I enjoyed this as well. I see so many direct to video action flicks and this blows most of those away. Decent story, direction and fight scenes with a story that's not that forgettable. I enjoyed this one so don't knock it until you see it, if your a tekken fanboy then maybe you wont enjoy it, but this blows The Raid 2 out of the water which I hated with a passion, to each their own I guess.
