I didn't know the director also did May. That said, I probably won't be purchasing - I have heard that this is seriously dark and intensely graphic and disturbing, and many who have seen it wish they hadn't. I'd normally prefer to form my own opinion, but it's not a part of the genre I'm attracted to. I like my horror to be separated from the real world.
Real world can be much more disturbing than stuff people could dream up. I find a lot of the best horrors draw upon this and highlight just how horrific our own world is and can be. Don't get me wrong i also enjoy horror that is removed from reality, but people can be the biggest monsters of all.

It's not that intense, it resides mostly on the sleazier end of the scale.

This is only okay (I suppose it scores higher if you like Jack Ketchum stuff). It's a shame that McKee hasn't really lived up to the promise of May, although I really liked Red (although he got booted off that).

In that picture, I think the chick looks like Hugo Weaving in drag.

Well I agree there and I guess I didn't word that quite right - I don't mind stuff that's a bit more stylistic like Silence Of The Lambs or something that draws on the mind of a psychopath, but I'm not a fan of the harrowing prolonged torture/rape that takes a front seat to story.

I guess what I mean is, I'd learn more about the horrors of society through metaphor in something like Dawn of the Dead, rather than through something that shoves a real, horrific thing right at me with all the subtlety of a chainsaw through the eye. It's not that I don't find that good horror, per se, but more that I feel quite maudlin because it makes me think that these things can and do happen to people. I guess my examples would be The Girl Next Door (same director) and Megan Is Missing - they just make me depressed, I guess (which in some ways is probably the intention, because the two I mention were based on real-life cases).

See the sleazy angle is probably my problem - I'm not really a fan of Jack Ketchum either (despite the proclamations of Stephen King, who I still think is awesome).

I'm also keeping my CA order, until the helmet/helmetless image is settled. I like them both.
Well if it is in fact white I may take that extra off of your hands but I did not want to risk it because TBH if it is silver I don't think it will look half as good as white.

Are English subtitles included? Also, is the frame rate 23.976, 24 or 25?

Last but not least, from what you could gather, was anything cut?
