Default No movie ticket for Hancock in my MIB from Circuit City...

I just picked up MIB at CC and there was a large yellow sticker on the slipcover that stated e-Movie cash for Hancock, however when opened there was nothing but the standard SPHE insert. Has anyone else had this or is there somewhere else to go? I checked BD LIVE and nothing there except the "Free Hancock movie ticket with MIB purchase), but nothing to click on". I exchanged this for another one, and that one was missing it as well. Has anyone got one from CC that included it? I e-mailed SPHE, so am waiting a response.

On the sticker itself it also says details on reverse, however the back of the sticker is blank and there is nothing printed on the slipcover or the case stating these so called details.

Towards the bottom of the sticker, on the back sticky side, there is supposed to be a code.

Thanks for the reply. I pulled off both stickers (the first and the exchanged one) and both were blank.

i noticed this at one best buy i went to. I went to another best buy though today and saw all the blu rays were in those cases that they put the games in which is unlocked at the register.

To the original poster i have no idea why the code isnt on the sticker. Its pretty dumb that sony did it this way because i completely ruined the slipcover pulling the sticker off. I'm pretty anal about things like that and wanted to keep the slipcover but its a no go on that.

good luck

At my Best Buy, a whole bunch of them were gone from the 15 or so MIBs stocked, but I found a pair that still had the sticker left on the MIB case and picked one of them up.

EDIT: Checked my sticker just in case. There was code on the back.

I simply used rubbing alcohol and some toilet paper to scrub the sticky off the slip case, and it did just fine. Just a few minor scratches, but at least it won't stick to my other blu's. I agree it was dumb of Sony do it like that.

Thumbs down

When I tried to remove my sticker, I could see that the code is stuck to the box along with residue from the stickers. It leaves the worst residue (both stickers) and destroys the box.

And where is this sneek peak at Hancock?

I bought mine from Best Buy and it came with the code... I almost bought from CC... Humm, maybe that's why they have it cheaper?

I dunno, but good thing I price matched. I also received the Hancock 'preview' Blu-ray with it... not a bad deal.

Sorry to hear about those who didn't receive the advertised code.. Sony should make this up to those who ended up getting screwed by this ordeal...

The sneak peek is on the website where you redeem the code. You have to enter the code before you can see it.

It's mostly what's already been advertised, but there were a few tidbits I hadn't seen before.

Well, as this is not a revenue lost issue, would anyone care to share their code along with the website location? (Mods, please feel free to delete if this is an inappropriate request). Mine was pre-ordered from Amazon and is already on the way, but I can't wait to see Hancock, it looks fantastic!

Seems to me that the companies are getting dumber the way they do things. Why didn't they just put the Hancock movie money inside like has been done with others before? I'm waiting to get my MIB from Amazon. Hopefully mine will be okay.

Because putting it inside requires dedicated manual labor to stuff boxes while applying a sticker can be done mechanically and is much cheaper

EDIT: Before anyone posts their code, does it also give you your movie "discount coupon" when you enter it, or was there something seperate requiring you to enter more information for that part? If that's the case, then sharing the code would be theft...

Not to mention, getting someone to visit a website is a great way to get marketing money, install spyware on your PC, etc.
