Default Help choosing a receiver speaker set up?

The Denon 5.1 is 3D ready and has great stand alone speakers and a receiver.

The Onkyo is 7.1 and 3D ready with stand alone speakers and a receiver. This one is 50$ more. I heard Onkyo's have been having problems though..... so maybe the Denon would be the safer bet?

Which one is better? I have seen some 7.1 DTS HD movies, so is it worth it? Which is the better brand or better set up? I have an Insignia Blu-Ray 3D player and Insignia LED HD TV 42''.

What type of budget are you working with? Space limitations? House apartment?

I am in a basement, but want great sound. I think I am going to choose the Denon because it will cost 320$ with shipping. I want it to be under 320$ with shipping or 320$. That is what I will be able to afford .

If that's what you can afford then I think you'll be happy with it. At some point down the road you'll want to get separate speakers and the whole nine yards. I would go with the Denon over the Onk because of the problems they have had for a few years now.

Let us know what you think when you get it
