I used "Rain Man remastered" and it came right up to the top

Anyone know why Amazon doesn't have a release date.

Seems weird that it's being released 9/2 & they don't have a date listed for it yet.

I've had it on pre-order since the day they put it up. They had it for $13.99 at that time.

My order says no release date as of yet.

Amazon is goofy like that. Happens all the time. My most recent is Jersey Boys, pre ordered July 4th, finally got a release date of Nov.11th attached.

As Mike Z said, sometimes Amazon preorders just don't follow the regular course of action. The big test for me, is if I receive a shipping email for it, over the weekend...or even as late as Monday morning.
Sure hope it doesn't get delayed as I'm looking forward to seeing this new trasnfer.

Unlike with their previous releases that have been remasters instead of reissues, MGM has done no advance publicity and isn't sending out review screeners for the new Rain Man.

Take that FWIW.

Since I never bought the old one, I plan to buy this one anyway. If it looks at all different from the existing screenshots, I'll write something and post new screenshots.

Free since I'm a Best Buy Elite Plus member. I placed the preorder awhile ago and forgot until I received the shipping notification. It will be a fun surprise seeing how much better this looks. One of my favorite films and the previous blu ray was fine, but had a lot of room for improvement. I sure hope they fixed that opening scene at the car lot. Looks like someone just pushed the red hue by 100 notches. So much magenta!

But does it say 4k Remastered on the packaging ? Mine just shipped from Bull Moose.

No, but there is a sticker on the plastic wrap that says Newly Remastered.
