Italy Alexander (Ultimate and Theatrical Cut)

This Italian release is pretty unique - has anyone bought it and any comments?

May I ask, what makes it so unique? If it is the inclusion of both cuts, the new US release also has them.

Well the new US release with both discs is expensive. The other US release is Ultimate Cut only. So this Italian release seems the best option?

Ah, OK.
I thought you meant that this had any exclusive/different content.

I'm not sure if it helps you, but I purchased quite a few Warner releases from Italy because they usually take those big expensive editions that Warner releases in the US, full of more or less useless physical extras, and release it over there in identical discs, without most of the physical extras, for a small portion of the price.
This appears to be a similar case. The Italian release is probably a port of the US release. It was released at the same time, has the same number of discs, and according to this website, features the same audio tracks, and subtitle options.

Got this some time ago. Seems to match the review here for the US disks, but at a bargain price as none of the extra stuff. Given its from Warner they will be using the same master etc.

OK if anyone needed any reassuring on this one - don't worry!

The discs seem to be exactly the same as the US ones - I cant be 100% about that as I haven't seen the US ones but I cant think why they wouldn't be. Both discs boot straight to English menus, no sign of this being Italian in any way (apart from the back of the eco case!). All extras are English, no subtitles on/off needed. These must be the same as the US discs.

I had a quick look at both discs and the PQ/AQ seems very good and as you'd expect. No crazy bitrates here on the PQ - we are dealing with very long films - but everything seemed as it should be to me.

Buy away!
