Default Dead or Alive 5 Last Round Announced

Team Ninja is not ready to give up on Dead or Alive 5 yet as a version of the game will now be making its way to the PS4 and Xbox One sometime in the future.

Team Ninja are currently holding the DOA5UA Fighting Carnival 2014 SUMMER right now. This is basically a video game fighting tournament where fans are playing Dead or Alive 5. A winner was crowned, but the biggest news is that a version of the game will now make its way to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

A very short and brief trailer was revealed announcing Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. The tagline of the game suggests this will be the last time they re-release the game. They already upset fans by mimicking Capcom releasing Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate just a year after the original game came out…

Only a teaser for the game was shown. It will be out in Spring 2015 in Japan. Dead or Alive 5 Last Round joins several other re-releases that will be making its way to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Deep Silver already announced at PAX that Saints Row IV is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One as well.

Awesome. I loved DOA4 but never did get around to getting DOA5. Hopefully it doesn't come out around MKX release which is also rumored as a Spring release.

Tbh, its quite ridiculous how many times these fighting games get re-released and Capcom are the primary culprits.

So true but people need to stop buying them and they'll stop releasing them.

I'll buy one fighting game once and that's it. No matter how many extras the next release has.

Not only that, but new overpriced DLC costumes for DOA5 Ultimate are still being released. I guess people are shelling out the dough to buy it.

Its been ages since I've played a DOA game but if this releases digitally at a $20-30 price point I'll bite as long as its the super ultra ultimate complete plus edition.

I do hate that Hayashi pulled a Capcom with this but the game turned out well at least. Still find it funny how he managed to not botch DOA and yet the series he had worked on more in Ninja Gaiden he botched big time.

The teaser shows the Ultimate DLC characters so they appear to be included. Hopefully they pack in a good selection of costume DLC too. Some new characters and stages exclusive to this would also be nice. With it not coming until spring of 2015 I would think that they are planning to add something since just porting everything over wouldn't take that long.

Also coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, so I assume Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate is now obsolete...

Figure I'll just wait for DOA6. MKX should tide me over with Guilty Gear Xrd as well. Not in a rush to get a fighting game anymore. Need to start saving some money.

Wasn't it obsolete once the hundreds of dollars of DLC was released? Hard to be ultimate when you keep releasing stuff.

The costumes are not really overpriced since i've seen DLC Costumes costing more on some other games that I am not going to mention. But it's just that they are made either seperately for each character or a bundle set that doesn't really save you that much, it just seems expensive. But also that the costumes just keep coming like as if Team Ninja just keep getting ideas on new costumes to put out which makes it sound like there is no end of DLC Costumes as long as they keep thinking about it.

I have to admit, DOA 5 was a fantastic-looking game on PS3. At 1080p and 60fps, it might make an upgrade worthwhile (when it drops in price, anyway, early 2015 is insanely packed games-wise).

I did not know they kept releasing DLCs after The Ultimate Edition was released. I had been waiting for a nice price drop or sale. Well at this point may as well wait some more.

Hopefully they mean it when they say "Last"

Didn't see this posted but it looks like purchased DLC will carry over from last gen.

I loved DOA5 even though it left a pretty sour taste in my mouth with all the costume packs, but I would pick this up if it came out with every costume dlc released for all characters, and sold at a $30 price point. Other than that, no sale. It's almost shameless to ask people to buy the same game 3 times.

While that would be ideal, I seriously doubt it if they're allowing previously purchased DLC to transfer to the new consoles.

Amazon has a release date of June 30 2015, with a $39.99 price point. That's a pretty good price if it's meant to be an Ultimate version.

These games had nothing on Tekken the first time they were released and they have nothing on Tekken now. Give it up, Campcon.

I've always preferred DOA over Tekken. Don't get me wrong I can't wait for the new Tekken but I'd take DOA6 over that any day.

Really?? I can't see anything DOA has over Tekken besides scantly clad female characters Why do you prefer it over Tekken?
