Vudu In-Home D2D discs unidentifiable/errors on D2D program (home-use only)

This thread is mainly to keep updates on the status of non-readable discs regarding Vudu Home-D2D only. Sometimes it does depend on the drives that read the disc, but I have only seen that in rare circumstances. There is a thread on the Vudu forums, but the fixes and errors are definitely scattered and sometimes can be confusing. I will try my best to keep the thread updated with fixes as they come. I know some others use Target Ticket and Cinema Now, but I would like to keep this thread strictly for Vudu Home-D2D only. This thread is not designed for specific errors, because regardless of error it most likely won't read anyways.

I won't be including titles from Touchstone and MGM and any other titles that are not UV enabled and ineligible for Vudu D2D since it's fairly well known they have trouble reading and being identified on the D2D program.


Always willing to listen to suggestions/recommendations on how to keep this thread clean and easy to follow (please just PM me)

The movie disc for 6th Day wouldn't work for me, but the Second Disc did (not sure if that's an issue some with the 2 disc).

Well the main purpose of the thread was mainly to get the known discs that have difficulty reading so that we don't buy them blindly with the purpose of D2D. I'm sure some of us actually own the discs so we can check conservatively to see if there is any progress being made.

If there was never an issue with the disc in the first place it won't be in this thread.

A little off topic but...

I did The Jerk from a Steve Martin 3 film collection, so there is a DVD out there that works.

Disc 1 was The Jerk, Disc 2 was a double feature of The Lonely Guy and Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid -- that disc only shows up as The Lonely Guy so I had to track down the old single disc of Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid which which did work (and looks great on vudu by the way).
