Question Where can I buy the unrated editions of Saw 1-6 for a Region 1 blu ray player?

I was just about to buy them on Amazon.com, but then I noticed they all have a disclaimer saying they will not work on most players in US and Canada. Even though they are listed as Region 1/A, apparently they actually have region 29002 encoding (whatever that is).

I plan to play them with a PS3/PS4/XB1.

I know there is a new set coming out with all of the movies, but I'd rather have individual discs than all 7 movies on 3 discs.

Just buy the individual releases from Lionsgate on Amazon if you want one movie per disc. They are all locked to region A.

I was going to do that, but Saw 1-4 all say they do not work on US and Canada disc players. And there are comments from customers who say they will not work on a PS3, even after Amazon replaced their copies.

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00MFCP...ref=mp_s_a_1_1

Comes out Sept. 16th. Pretty sure Amazon.com would have it as well.

Edit: Nevermind. Saw you wanted individual releases. For the price though, you can't go wrong with the set.

Amazon.com will have it - unfortunately it's only 3 discs and I want each movie on a separate disc.

That sure is strange. They should work on any region A BD player assuming the firmware is up-to-date.

Disregard Amazon's notice. The Lionsgate discs should play on any US or Canada Blu-Ray player.

I might have to bite the bullet - I'm just afraid that if they don't work, Amazon will not refund me since they do have the disclaimer warning people.

Okay, I'm about to place an order with Amazon and I'll probably order these. Before I do though, I just wanted to check one last time to see if anyone here has bought these from Amazon and knows for sure whether or not they work on U.S. blu ray/DVD players - particularly a PS3.

As long as you're buying the US editions, you shouldn't have any issues. Thousands of people here own those same discs, and play them fine on US players. I think the error message on Amazon is just erroneous.
