Thumbs up Good films to buy that are not on Blu-ray

Hi guys

I am currently buying some stuff from CeX online and want to get the most I can as I only pay a single postage amount.

are there any good films that are only on DVD that you can recommened? DVD releases tend to be cheap on CeX which is why I am asking.

these can be old films, recent films, indie films or foreign films.

Thanks in advance!
Sam

The Hitcher (1986) instantly comes to mind. It's a crime that it hasn't been released on Blu yet

Stander (2003) - Great film starring Thomas Jane. Based on the true story of Johannesburg police captain Andre Stander who started robbing banks on his lunch hour.

Beavis & Butthead do America (1996) Need I say more?

The Day of the Jackal (1973) Classic.

They're okay. The prices are the same depending on what condition you buy a title, so you may get someone's well kept DVD or BD they just traded in or somebody's ashtray with a coaster in it. The customer service isn't great, you can go round in circles. Worth checking your local's stock, then you can see what you're buying in person if you have one in your area.

They do have plus-points, you can see how many you have so you know where you stand (if it's sold in the shop before they get the message you'll lose out) but popular titles are usually well-stocked. XV Marketplace are hopeless with their on-line stock keeping.

Wallace & Gromit And The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit is great. Perfectly captures the charm and humour of the famous short films and transfers seamlessly to the feature film format.

I forgot to mention that usually the newest releases have a chance of been in better condition but you'll pay a premium for them. Box sets of True Detective were found in mint-condition the week of release as well as a few members getting sealed copies! You can always rely on pre-ordered blind-buys popping up quite quickly! Older releases will have seen the most wear, especially if they've been in-store for a few years. I had Vantage Point a few months back and the cover and case were just trashed not surprising as it was released back in 2008 but the BD disc was in good nick.

They're pretty quick at deliveries too, expect your order in a few days.

The Special Edition one?

I loved that film so much, I pre-ordered the DVD straight away at WH Smith's afterwards.
