Default New special feature I thought of that should be used on every Blu-ray.

In the list of special features they should have a list of all the songs used in that movie, you should be able to click on that particular song and it should take you to the scene in the movie where it was used. I can't count how many a song from a movie has been stuck in my head but I have no idea what it's called that would solve the problem quickly and easily. I'm sure they can do it with Blu-ray technology for heaven sakes they should be able to do it with DVD technology.

Not a bad idea (particularly as far as musicals go) but this is something that would have worked better in the early to mid 2000's when studio executives cared about the Physical media movie market. Now, with studios looking to cut every corner, that extra effort simply wouldn't fly.

That's awesome. I just watched The Darjeeling Limited and was in love with the music from start to finish. That would be such a useful tool for a film like that.

This feature is actually on a handful of discs, but it is definitely not used as often as it could (or should) be. I remember some of the earliest DVDs had it, but I can't remember any titles right off. Boogie Nights has it, at least on the two disc set, sold the single over 10 years ago. There are a number of blus that have the feature, again can't remember right off which ones I have, but Django Unchained has it.

It would be a nice feature on any movie with a memorable soundtrack, not just for finding out which songs they are, but also just to watch a scene in context with a particular song. I watched the "Oh what a lonely boy" scene in Boogie Nights quite a few times, one of my favorite scenes from that film.

I would really like to see this as a feature on Guardians of the Galaxy. It had a great rockin 70s soundtrack, and not only would it be awesome to go right to the track, but it might get younger buyers to a) buy the soundtrack, and or b) get interested in classic rock.

Win win!

I would just prefer the soundtrack. The other day I went to my Tron Legacy bluray to be disappointed that the soundtrack wasnt included.

Death Proof has this feature and I can't even count how many times I've utilized it.

As a bit of an aside, if you're ever looking for a song, a lot of the time IMDb has a list of the songs used in a movie. On the main page of a specific movie, look on the right, click "Explore More," go down to "Did You Know?," and click "Soundtracks." Most usually it will have listed all the songs used in the movie, in addition to the artist.

Just in case anyone didn't know. Obviously it's not as cool as a bonus feature on a disc that can give you that information automatically, but it's helped me a few times.

Same here. Interesting idea. Though i've always felt that a lengthy documentary and maybe a director and cast commentary is all you needed for special features
