If you keep clicking the 'orz' it transforms into 'or2' and a green slime from Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida slimes across the screen.

More this Friday, but don't be surprised if it's not suited to western tastes.

If you all remember, the last time there was a mysterious countdown on the Japanese Playstation Website, it turned out to be the New Siren Game. Although this one is much less intricate (No Scary Voices in the Background), it's still Interesting.

Considering the Countdown is in a Pixelated Presentation, Could it be a revival of one of our Old-School Favourites? I'm assuming it's safe to say that We'll Figure this all out in 3 days, and some change.

If it really is a retro game or something, I want it to have online play, cos look at the amount of retro games on XBL. We really need something to compete against them.

orz is a Japanese emoticon. If you squint...

orz

...looks like a stick-figure man banging his head on the ground.

It's usually used to express amused frustration. I picked up this and a number of other JP typing conventions in my years of playing Final Fantasy XI online (where half the players are Japanese).

While there are other usages for the term, I don't see any of the others being applicable in this case.

P.S. that little green blob that crawls across the bottom of the screen is interesting. Maybe it's some sort of hint? But the only game I can think of that's coming to a PlayStation platform that has anything even vaguely like that would maybe be Nobi Nobi Boy, and even that's a stretch.
