What toast said and Jaffe said in an interview (play magazine if I'm not mistaken) that he knows what the story's gonna be and it should be good but he will not be involved as much if at all as he was with previews two games.

Thats because Sega stopped making platforms and focused on software for other consoles. Had Sega continued to make consoles after DreamCast, I highly doubt that Sonic would be multiplatform.

God of War is a Sony title like Halo is an Xbox title. You'll never see GoW on another platform. Even if Santa Monica studios stopped making future GoW titles, Sony would have another studio take over if the masses wanted a future game after GoW 3.

yes but sega was doing ok with its consoles untill the saturn and the dreamcast(both great in my opinion) did so poorly and they ended there console division.

if the next two playstations did real bad whats to say the same thing wouldnt happen again(dont flame me its hypothetical)

If thats the case and Sony decides to just develop gaming software, then yes, the chances of seeing Killzone, GoW, Unchartered etc on future gaming consoles will be possible. But what are the odds that Sony will allow its Playstation brand to go belly up like Sega did?

Hell will probably freeze over before you see an announcement that Sony will throw its Playstation brand out the window to develop software.
